I apologise for the inconvenience caused. 

Our developers are already aware about the cases where Pokedex takes some time to open, but it is barely an issue with the client or our servers. Your device's old hardware or insufficiently available RAM/storage could be a cause of this. Sometimes redownloading the client also fix this issue.

 

I am sorry as there is no perfect solution to this which I can provide to you, but I hope the aforementioned information will still help you. If you could, then please try to clear some storage, have some sufficient RAM in the background and redownload the client and run it again. Let us know if this resolves your problem.
