Starter Pokemon Goes back to 5 when beating a region and going to a new region.

I am slighly new, i beated once kanto a few years ago, and this came into mind after coming back recently, i dont know if anyone ever made a suggestion like this, but i wanted to suggest that the starter Pokemon resets back to level 5 when you beat a region, like when ash finishes kanto, he leaves all his pokemons behind except pikachu, pikachu id presume, had reset back to level 5, i think it could be an cool anime inspired feature.
