low experience bug

Look here no matter how high my lvl is, its just a lvl 10 diff and my opponent is in its 2nd evolution, why do i get much lower exp compare to the past, I just cant believe it, can someone explain this to me?

PS: This is after the after the update yesterday or the other day.

Thanks for making a report. This is intended behavior. The experience code was recently reworked and the generation 7 formulas were implemented.

The new system is different in many ways and I encourage you to experiment with it. One of the changes which you have discovered is that Pokémon now have similar experience gain regardless of their evolution stage. Considering this it may now be appealing to evolve your Pokémon as early as possible.

 

In addition to the new experience rework, the Trainer Towers have been added, one in each region. The purpose of these towers is to provide players with a new method to level up their Pokémon. They can be located Route 13, Route 40, Route 111 Desert and Route 218.
