Since he evolved, his happiness bar is no longer full, and his happiness fluctuates at random numbers. I don't know if this is related, but I also can't use my dig outside of combat anymore. After a trade, the Pokemon's happiness resets to 70, and you must therefore raise it back to at least 150 to use moves like Dig or Headbutt. Since Onix evolves into Steelix through a Trade evolution, I can only assume that is what happened to you. Can you please confirm if you recently traded your Pokemon? However, as I mentioned and also as you can see in the image, his happiness is 271/271, not 70... It's hard to track my progress like this... But if I keep fighting with him, will I be able to use dig again? The yellow bar above the green HP bar is the Happiness one.
