Steelix Hapiness Bug

Featured Replies

Hello! I'm having a small problem with my Steelix. Since he evolved, his happiness bar is no longer full, and his happiness fluctuates at random numbers. I don't know if this is related, but I also can't use my dig outside of combat anymore.
Can someone help me pls?

Hello @Aristhedragon.

After a trade, the Pokemon's happiness resets to 70, and you must therefore raise it back to at least 150 to use moves like Dig or Headbutt. Since Onix evolves into Steelix through a Trade evolution, I can only assume that is what happened to you. Can you please confirm if you recently traded your Pokemon?

Kind regards,
Caelestya

Yes, it was a recent trade. However, as I mentioned and also as you can see in the image, his happiness is 271/271, not 70... It's hard to track my progress like this... But if I keep fighting with him, will I be able to use dig again?

It's not hapiness, it's her HP.

Hello @Aristhedragon

As Mysticwind stated it, the stat you can see here is your Pokemon's HP. The yellow bar above the green HP bar is the Happiness one.

To check your Pokemon's happiness, you can type the in-game command /happy 1-6 (1-6 being the position of your Pokemon in your party)
