So I accidentally picked team magma since I didn't realize there was a choice, I figured if there was team aqua would ask me later too but apparently they hear of it "from their spy" behind the scenes and there's no choosing them from that point? I've only walked a hundred yards and fought like 2 grunts since it happened so can I betray team magma somehow? Idc if that makes me team aqua or just stalemates the island I just don't like team magma and chose without the choice moment being clear at all. Also first post so sorry if wrong location or format, please let me know if thats the case

JIC anyone else sees this, if you only mess up that early after going through the first cave the aqua grunt leader will tell you what to do to make it right, you might get another chance. Just screenshot it because he fights you too afterward of course and I didn't get the screen shot. So help would still be appreciated. 

After trying to go to the one place that did stand out in the text to me it appears that the magma grunt blocking you from that way cannot be fought at this stage, so you may have to proceed further even if betrayal is possible but it looks unlikely so far.
