I just started the game, and I tried searching through the forum, and couldn't find any answers.

 

Are hidden abilities available in the game? Is there a chance to find a Pokemon with a hidden ability in the wild? Or is there another process to get a hidden ability?

 

For EVs, I know that Gen VI introduced a different training method for getting the desired EVs. Is the only option for getting your desired EVs by the "old" method (aka battling Pokemon)?

Chance to capture a pokemon with a hidden ability in a wild is 5%.

 

As for EVs, you can get them by battling wild pokemon as well as using irons, calciums and such.
