Weezing Ability

Hi !! i don't know if this is the right section to open this ticket, have mercy!

Before gen9 update weezing had only 1 ability and it was "Levitate" and my weezing of course had it.
After gen9 update, as you can see from my screenshot, weezing got "neutralizing gas" .

Now i think weezing is one of the few super rare case where one pokemon had 1 ability and after the update got 2 abilites + 1 hidden, so it's like my "levitate" (2nd ability slot) got the swap.
Then, i ask to have back "levitate" as if my pokemon didn't change at all and maybe in the future if i want to change it, i can use the ability patch in the game.

I must deny your request to change your Weezing's ability @Brinoneee.

 

The Pokedex has 3 slots for Abilities for each Pokemon.

When you caught your Koffing/Weezing, it used the slot that is today used for Neutralizing Gas.

As before the 9th Generation arrived, Koffing/Weezing has only one ability, and to prevent your pokemon to  have no ability, it was redirected to Levitate.

 

Now, Gen9 is here, and everything went back in order, as intended.

 

I understand how it can be frustrating, though Neutralizing Gas is far to be useless as it suppresses completely the opponent Ability.

 

Since there is nothing more to answer, I will now lock this topic.
