Kottontail Posted December 11, 2024 Share Posted December 11, 2024 'Ello, everyone! I’ve put together this detailed guide to help you unlock the Ruins of the Vale dungeon. I hope this will make your adventure a bit easier and more fun! Let's dive in: What You Need First Before heading to Crater Town, there are a few things you’ll need to have ready: Zekrom and Kyurem Quest Completed (You can do this on Eindoak Island). 91 Evolution Data. Seen Data for the Gen 5 Pokédex (excluding Legendaries). Once these requirements are checked off, you're ready to go! Part I: Getting to Crater Town Spoiler To start, head to Eindoak Island. Here’s how to get there: From Lilycove City, take a boat to Eumi Island with Sailor Jacob. From Eumi Island, take another boat to Eindoak Island with Sailor Drew. Once you arrive, go south and then east from the town to find Damon. (He's in the map with the entrance to Dragonspire tower) Meeting Damon When you find Damon, he’ll share his backstory, including his connection to Victini and he’ll ask you to meet him in Crater Town. Next, return to Hoenn and head to Slateport City, and then go south to Route 109. From there, surf southeast to reach the Crater Town shore. Part II: Crater Town Quest Spoiler When you arrive in Crater Town, Damon will be waiting for you beyond a couple trainers. After a quick chat, he’ll ask you to meet him at the tavern in the northeast part of town. Inside the tavern, Damon will explain that the Ruins of the Vale dungeon is locked. To open it, you’ll need to gather information. Here’s where you need to talk to the NPCs in the tavern. One of them will give you the clue needed to advance the quest : “... but did you hear ? They say some sort of key is required to unlock the gate” The NPCs with the clue is random for each player, so make sure to talk to everyone until you get the right clue. Once you have the clue, go back to Damon and share what you’ve learned. Gathering More Information Now, Damon will ask you to gather more information. Go around town and talk to the NPCs until you get these informations: Once done, we can go back and talk to Damon ! He should display this informations if you have all the right clues: And we will be given the next task ! Eavesdropping for Clues Next, Damon will ask you to gather rumors about the Clyde family and their suspicious activities. To do this, you’ll need to eavesdrop on specific locations. Here’s where to stand to trigger the clues: 4 spots in the tavern. 3 spots in the cave. 2 spots in the Pokémon Center. A couple of spots around town. We will need to gather 3 clues in total: 2 of which are straighforward and can be heard directly in one of those location: For the last clue, you’ll need to use codewords to talk to a smuggler. The codewords might change and not be similar to mine, but if you have 3, you’ll be good to go. Now, the smuggler guy is one of these thug NPCs scattered around the town, it's also different from player to player so talk to all of them until you find the correct one. All you need to do is answer with the codewords we gathered: Once you’ve gathered all the clues, go back and talk to Damon. He should say something like this if you've gotten the correct clues: Part III: Fieldwork and the Final Task Now for some real action! Leave the tavern and meet Damon in the center of Crater Island, he'll be located near a wooden platform with crates and 2 guards patroling. Talk to Damon, and then interact with the merchandise without being spotted by the two guards nearby. You'll be stopped by a third guard from afar, talk back to Damon to finalize your plan of action. Avoiding the Guard After that, just follow the path and it will lead you to a guard blocking your way. Don’t worry—Damon will help you get past him as planned and move forward to your last task: Gathering Evidence. You’ll need to find 3 pieces of evidence in random pots around the area. But here’s the catch: Don’t get caught by the guards! If you do, you’ll be sent back to the entrance, and you’ll lose all the evidence you collected. The evidence pots will also be randomized, so you’ll have to start over. The area could be dived into 3 parts, each one has 1 evidence in one of these pots: AREA 1: Near the entrance AREA 2: on the right AREA 3:on the left This is the trickiest part of the quest, so take your time and be patient. Tip: It’s better to wait a couple of seconds to be sure you’re not seen, rather than rush and fail (trust me, I learned this the hard way! ). Once you have all 3 pieces of evidence, it’s time to face the mastermind, Bonny. Battle with Bonny Bonny has a team of 5 Pokémon, around level 85-90: Weavile (holding a focus sash) Gliscor Noivern Cofagrigus Krookodile It’s not a superboss battle, so feel free to use items if needed! The End! Spoiler Once you defeat Bonny, follow her up the ladder and let the authorities take care of the rest. Congratulations! You’ve completed the quest and unlocked the Ruins of the Vale Dungeon! You'll be reward the key to the dungeon afterward as well as 2 twin dragon orbs I hope this guide helps you on your journey!
