Lance quest for cerulean cave

Featured Replies

When I started the Lance quest, I managed to beat everything until I defeated the Dragonite, including the 240 Pokemon I caught. After that I tried to fight Lance several times, but he said that I didn't know why he was here and that I should come back later. I'm not sure if I found a bug or if I didn't do something after the Dragonite. Please help me.

Hello @Sdyz,

I’m sorry for the frustration you're experiencing, but I’m here to help!

Before you can battle Lance, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Join the Dragon Club (requires 200k Pokédollars).
  2. Obtain the Dragon Medallion (requires 240 caught Pokémon).
  3. Defeat Dragonair in the Dragon’s Den (B1F).

It looks like you’ve already completed these steps. The only thing you're missing is:

-Talking to the guard in front of Cerulean Cave.

Additionally, please note that you need a team of level 100 Pokémon to challenge Lance.

Let me know if this solves your issue, and feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Best regards and happy new year,
Bacchylides
