Hello, it is because you left during or before FCC start

 

Here what you have to do:

 

To join the next Fishing Contest and resolve this bug you will have to speak with the NPC Expert Fisherman in Corsica Island when the Fishing Contest is not ongoing. This will reset your variables, and afterward, you should be able to participate in the upcoming Fishing Contest without any further issues.

This is a known bug, to fix and be able to participate in the next FCC all you have to do is go and talk to the contest NPC in Corsica island when the contest is not on-going.
