Shaymin quest guide and complete prerequisites are at this video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgDaTwoRVQc
All credits to the respective youtuber for that guide as I have nothing to do with it beyond utilizing it and making sure people know where to go for the pre-req for my guide.

Going forward AFTER this quest and video guide has been followed and completed...

(Bare with me here I started this guide after starting the quest and lost some minor details along the way!)

(Sort of) Complete hidden mine quest guide:

Requirements: 2025 Shaymin easter quest completed, easter event must be active.

Spoiler
  • 1. Start at the Blacksmith near the Pokémon Center in Breezy Town.

  •  2. Talk to the Mayor in the building south of the Pokecenter.

  •  3. Speak to NPC Hilda near the Blacksmith.

  •  4. Talk with NPC Jeff outside the cave (first east path in Breezy Path).

  •  5. Interact with the Tree Stump just a bit up and left from NPC Jeff.

  •  6. Defeat a Rocket Grunt (team:  Geodude, Graveler, and Golem all with Sturdy and level 100. (Geodude and Graveler spam earthquake and Golem spams heavy slam)

  •  7. Talk to NPC Jaya in Breezy Town near the bench south of the Pokecenter.

  •  8. Speak to NPC Jared in the southeast corner of Breezy Town under a pink tree.

  •  9. Interact with the green tree under the bridge near the Diglett in Breezy Path (Towards npc Jeff).

  •  10. Defeat another Rocket Grunt (team: level 80 sweepable stuff I recall Golduck being first and Lilligant being last, I do not remember the 2nd pokemon but it was all easy with a single garchomp with leftovers it may have been Sandslash after rethinking it).

  •  11. Speak to NPC Conrad in Breezy Town just outside the Mayors house.

  •  12. Speak to NPC Louis in Breezy Town right outside the Pokemart.

  • 13. Speak to NPC Keiran in Breezy Town west of the pokecenter.

  • 14. Speak to NPC Seb in Breezy Town just a little up and right from Keiran.

  • 15. Speak to the boulder just a bit down and left from NPC Seb.

  • 16. Fight the rocket grunt and talk to them (Level 84 Nidoking & Alolan-Muk easy sweep with earthquake).

  • 17. Interact with the SMALL pink tree just before Breezy Garden entrance ON Breezy Path near the Hiker Pinkman NPC at the furthest north end. (The one on the left)

  • 18. Beat another rocket grunt and talk to them (Level 82 Greninja, level 77 Garchomp, level 79 Dragonite (Has multiscale and ice punch so beware it won't get ohko without ice moves!), and a level 80 milotic. Milotic was able to down my Garchomp after taking the Dragonite ice punch, with ice beam. Something to clean up besides a single sweeper here is wise.

  • 19. Now we have the clue that the Mayor's secretary is the ring-leader. (Though it was obvious at the beginning of the quest because he says "You shouldn't get involved" and every other npc without helpful info says "I don't want to get involved" which indicated he is obviously antagonistic from the beginning. Furthermore after a couple rocket grunts, if you talk to him-- He says something along the lines of "You're digging too deep and it's none of your business" which further suggests he is malicious and not actually looking out for our characters best interest.... Or anyone for that matter!

  • 20. So without further ado, return to the Mayors house in Breezy town and a forced dialogue with the secretary will start. After he leaves, talk to Mayor Chris once more.

  • 21. Now you can enter the Breezy Cave Hidden Mines from this location https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/254404-how-to-get-to-breezy-cave-hidden-mines/ in the screenshot from this link! This quest is not over yet still, despite unlocking the objective. Credits for the answer and screenshot go to Divinelight!

  • 22. Inside the cave you will be presented with a puzzle, instead of bothering with the details here is the solution: Talk to the sign and select the info option. Walk up to the rock blocking the way, walk two tiles down over the rubble, walk two tiles right, walk up, complete. (I somehow doubt talking to the sign is necessary for this one but I just listed exactly what I did because I am not really sure what solved it, it just... Happened, very comically.)

  • 23. The next puzzle I was unable to get the exact solution but a good tip is to start the bottom cracked floor tile and then do the rest entering from the top, the end of the solution is changing the bottom and right tiles when the rest was complete.

  • 24. Battle NPC Smuggler Maria, she has level 82 Tyranitar(Sets sand), level 85 Excadrill (Has sand rush!), and a level 80 Tangrowth. My Garchomp took them all out no problem.

  • 25. Starting from the left of the first cracked tile in the third puzzle:

    3 Right > 1 up > 2 Left > 1 up > 1 right > 1 up > 1 left > 1 up > 1 right > 1 up > 1 right > 1 down > 5 right > 1 down > 1 right > 2 down > 2 left > 1 up > 2 left > 1 up > 2 down > 2 right > 1 down > 3 left > 1 down > 3 left > 1 down > 6 right > 1 up > 1 right > 1 down > done. It's basically following a somewhat linear path because there is only one possible route to solve it. I was able to identify this pattern in a single glance, but some might struggle with this. (Like how I struggled to locate Breezy Garden until I asked someone in-game lol!) I also think this pattern is extremely similar to some from the official games so maybe most people will just see it too.

  • 26. Battle Smuggler Kai, he has level 82 Pelipper (sets rain and used u-turn on garchomp), level 85 Kingdra (with swift swim and ohko'd garchomp with draco meteor!), and a level 80 Ferrothorn.

Ultimately I had a bulky Golduck with me with yawn/simple beam/flash and the kingdra made itself -6 spatk stages spamming draco meteor. After making it -6 accuracy I brought in a Huntail with Substitute/ Aqua Ring/ Shell Smash/ Baton Pass, fully setup substitute, aqua ring, and 3 shell smashes.

Then I brought in Pangoro which ohko'd everything with Power Trip. It would have been far better to just have another hyper offensive pokemon and to wait out the rain because Kingdra never switched.

  • 27. The fourth puzzle solution is as follows:

Step on corners, step on middle, step on the sharp west, north, east, and south tiles, done.
(I think anyways, it was something ridiculously simple like this but I did it in one try and was multi-tasking at that moment.)

  • 28. Battle Smuggler Haci, he has a level 85 Chansey, level 84 Blissey, and a level 89 skarmory(spams counter on physical attackers!) My Garchomp ohko'd the first two and dragon clawed the Skarmory dead only being possible with rough skin & leftovers! Furthermore, the npc gives us a tip that the next two rooms are connected.

  • 29. The fifth puzzle solution is the following:

    From the tile above NPC Smuggler Haci > 5 right > 4 down > 1 right > 2 down > 1 left > 3 down > 2 right > 2 up > 2 right > 1 up > 4 right > 4 up > 1 down > 4 right > 1 down > 2 right > 5 down > DONE. This puzzle is solveable by screenshotting the right side room and turning it 90 degrees to the right. Then it is a mirror match of the left side room.

  • 30. Battle Smuggler Sarah, she has level 88 Flareon and a level 82 Conkeldurr (used ice punch on my Garchomp but didn't ohko me!).

  • 31. Before fighting Smuggler Boss Bertrand, I suggest making sure you have a team competent enough for a medium boss battle. He has a level 100 Tyranitar, Excadrill, Garchomp, Hippowdon, Stoutland, and Ferrothorn.

I had a synch and false swiper with me so beyond my garchomp I had only 3 slots to work with and my match went like this:

I lead with Golduck, yawn, simple beam, flash 3x, yawn again, switched to Huntail, Substitute, Aqua Ring, 3x shell smash, baton pass to Pangoro (Being sure substitute is active!), and Power trip 6x, easy win. (This is likely quite doable with just some bulky offense to be completely honest!)

  • 32. The game automatically teleports us back to right outside the Mayors home, talking to Mayor Chris completes the quest and unlocks the ability to get an alternative Shaymin sprite from Suzuka cave as mentioned by the Mayor.

That's it! Feel free to check out the alternative Shaymin sprite and farm up some Rotom in the hidden mine~

P.S if anyone remembers the solution to the puzzle I didn't provide, has any useful screenshots/video content, or even that pokemon one of the smugglers had I can't remember-- Please do share I'll put it up and put your name in here with credit for providing anything! (I feel like the 2nd pokemon after Golduck was Sandslash but I am uncertain.)
