I think its more sense of having the opponent team preview slider on top right of the pvp window attached horizontally 

 

Or maybe someone likes vertical but it should be on the right side of the battle window 

 

As a point to note that while in pvp the opponent pokes are on the right so it is much clear in understanding if we have the opponent team preview on right side.

 

Also this is not that hard UI change as its already applied we just want this preview on right side.

 

P.S. : i prefer horizontal on top right corner of battle window
