I dont really see the point of can't trading at distance with other users.

I lost a lot of sells because the server crashed when I was going to X city.

What do you think?

There are many suggestions concerning this.

 

You can even find hints that this will be implemented in the future (e.g. this trading skyscraper in goldenrod)

They are adding a mailing system , but i guess they could make a "payment request" mail , so some trades could become at distance. Unless you want a pokemon with another one.

I think they are going to make an Auction House, so one can set a buy out price and you can buy it from another place i guess

When trading if I notice the servers are wonky that day I usually keep track of their names. So that way I can friend them when the server is up and see if they are still interested.
