Clefable Relearner Problem

What have you done before the problem was there?

 

 

What have you already tried to solve the problem?

I did try to relearn some move hoping it was just like the same problem with Parasect that the move "Spore" is missing but it will show up after you relearn other moves, but in this case its nothing.

I bought a Clefable with good stat at a good price, now when i try to relearn the move, it only show a very few moves (im looking for particular moves Moonblast), It seems like it wont relearn all the previous moves of Clefairy, I ask the previous owner if he learn it move Moonblast prior to evolving to Clefable and he said YES (or mybe he is lying) and he evolve it around level 96-98 from Clefairy to Clefable. The move which after I receive the Clefable is as follow: Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Psychic and Ice Beam

 

Is this a bug? or its normal?

If the owner Did not learn moonblast in prior to evolve Clefable but it evolve it around 96-98, it will not relearn the move? Is this true to other pokemon too?

Hi Xero10. It's not a bug.

Moonblast is a pre-evo move (A move that can only be learned by previous forms). When u evolve a Clefairy into Clefable = it can't learn Moonblast anymore if it didnt learn it before the evolution. So to have Moonblast etc. on Clefable u have to teach it to Clefairy same goes for other pre-evo moves (Check available pre-evo moves online). When doing such trades make sure the mentioned poke has the move before accepting.

It's normal , you can't relearn the moves from the clefairy. Just from clefable. You should have learned it at 46 and keep it :(

[Solo]

This is exactly why we need an auction house. Sellers should need to set up a description with moves on the poke, to make sure such things won't happen again.

Thanks everyone, I did not know about this :( I guess the seller know all along about this, I cant blame him also since what I post in trade chat is only "Buy epic clefairy/clefable"

There is a way to check the moves before finnaly accepting the trade. As said when the seller opens the trade window = when you see the poke in there = then u can check the moves and the evs of the poke before pressing accept. Doesn't work in links obviously.

 

Yes Clefable can still be useful even without Moonblast.
