Diab10
I started playing PokĆ©mon Revolution Online less than three months ago, and about a week ago I finally finished all the regions in the game. Ever since I started, Iāve been completely hooked. Iām the kind of player who genuinely enjoys grinding, hunting for good stats, farming PokĆ©mon, doing side quests, and slowly building toward long-term goals. My girlfriend introduced me to PRO, and that one decision somehow turned into me spending over 300+ hours in such a short time without even noticing. Right now my main goal is to get properly into both PvP and PvE boss battles, but so far my experience has mostly been defined by endless hunting and very questionable luck. Most of my time in the game has been spent chasing PokĆ©mon that never quite live up to expectations. I currently own 26 Dratinis, and every single one of them is bad enough to be considered a personal attack. That being said, I genuinely enjoy this part of the game, the hunting, the grinding, the slow progress, even when the results are terrible. Iāve just never really had any memorable luck: no shinies, no rare forms, no event PokĆ©mon that I can recall. My RNG has been so consistently bad that at one point I even overpaid around 120% of the market price for a Greninja simply because I didnāt do my research and got too excited. And honestly, that pretty much sums up my PRO journey so far: lots of effort, lots of grinding, a lot of fun along the way, and almost nothing to show for it except experience and emotional damage. After finishing all regions, I finally decided it was time to stop wandering aimlessly and start building a proper boss team, so I began looking up guides and recommendations. Thatās when I found out I needed a Pangoro, which is available on Pinkan Island, meaning I had to complete the Pinkan quest. To enter the Pinkan Forest, youāre forced to hand over all your PokĆ©balls to a security guard, and he only gives them back if you decide to leave the area. The only way to actually bring PokĆ©balls inside the forest is by completing the quest first, which requires donating a level 90 Scyther and Electabuzz. At the time, I didnāt think much of it, I just handed everything over like a good NPC and walked in, assuming nothing important could possibly happen in a place where catching PokĆ©mon wasnāt even an option. Inside the forest, I got ambushed almost immediately by a Rocket grunt who clearly had unresolved anger issues and a Raticate. I beat him, moved deeper into the area, stepped into the grass to battle the next grunt, and thatās when my screen showed something I had never seen before: āYou have encountered a rare form.ā For a moment, I genuinely didnāt process it. Then I looked at the PokĆ©mon, and it was a Pink Pichu, one of my favourite PokĆ©mon of all time. After more than 300 hours of grinding, failed hunts, bad RNG, and zero memorable encounters, this felt unreal. This was supposed to be the moment where everything finally paid off. And then I opened my bag. No PokĆ©balls. Not one. Not even a Great Ball to give me false hope. I just sat there in silence, staring at the screen, not even angry... just completely empty. No panic, no dramatic reaction, just pure disbelief. It felt like discovering the love of your life after years of loneliness, except youāre separated by an invisible wall and forced to watch them exist in a world youāre not allowed to touch. While all chat was spamming āgzā, hearts, and āpink pichu ā, while I was experiencing emotional damage in real time, quietly accepting the fact that I had encountered the rarest thing in my entire PRO career in the only situation where I physically could not catch it. After a few minutes of staring at it, I clicked Run Away, logged off, and questioned every life choice that led me to that exact moment. So yes, I let the PokĆ©mon go. I walked away from the rarest thing Iāve ever seen in this game, and now Iām writing this blog while attaching the screenshot as emotional evidence. Iāve come to realise that I am somehow both the luckiest and unluckiest player in PRO. Lucky enough to encounter a rare Pink Pichu, and unlucky enough to do it in the only situation where I physically could not catch it. This isnāt even a blog anymore. This was a cry for help. This is me formally asking the devs: please give me my Pink Pichu. I will look after it like my own child. I will never overpay for a Greninja again. I will even release half my Dratinis as a ritual sacrifice. Just⦠please...
