My suggestion it´s create the Battle Frontier but instead of doing like the original game (With NPCs), We can fight with other players according to the rules of each building.

For Example:

In Battle Tower, Pay some money for participate and fight all the matches you can win and put rewards (Points) each some battles (For example 1 point for Battle won)

(...) Same with others buildings

 

And in the Battle Frontier Shop yo can buy (With The Points) all the Competitive Objects, like choice items, eviolite, focus sash, etc......

 

Can be a good form to introduce the competitive items, and prevents that the price of the competitive object will be so high.
