A couple of suggestions

Well those are just a few suggestion I thought of while playing the game... which I actually wanted to post a while ago already =P

 

1. Sort/Search/Mark Command for boxes

Doesn't it happen all the time that boxes get crowded quite a bit when you mass catch Pokemons to get a decent h.a one? Or some epic one? Nevermind all the ones you catch over time and don't want to release... when you accidently drop a pokemon you want to find like lets say a charmander/charmeleon/charizard etc between 8-9 boxes full of some orange/red pokemons like krabbys its easy to accidently loose it... or the epic one you found and forgot to take out of the box...... well I am bad at giving examples, but I think its easy to understand what i mean^^ Because of that I would suggest the ability to "mark" a pokemon like giving it a star or whatever which shouldn't be hard to make if we think about the "S" of the shiny's... it would greatly help to not loose pokemons one wants to keep, cause they would stick out when marked. Also a sort command that sorts pokemon by their names A-Z would help things like that to, or a search command where you enter the name of the pokemon... which would probably a bit hard to make i think. This could maybe be implemented trough a quest from Bill who wants to improve the box system... or whoever made the boxes again...^^

 

2. Event Idea: "Clown Hunt".

 

I got that kind of (probably bad and going to be rejected =P) idea during my ev training..... which gets boring after a while... Because of that I wanted to do something like... playing tetris/hunting some small thing flying around the screen with my mouse/etc to occupy the time, just to realize that this probably would make ev hunting just longer...

But it gave me the idea, if possible, to make an event where clowns (or whatever NPC's) randomly appear at a set time at certain Locations in Kanto/Johto/Hoenn etc which give you small minigames like pikachu surfing or flying [i think that was in yellow?] if you have one (doesnt have to be self caught... would be a bit unfair to players that didnt know that choosing pikachu at the beginning would allow this... xD) , berry catching to feed a snorlax, etc just some small minigames which give some joke rewards like cookies that dont do anything, etc just something to occupy ones time with pokemon themed games.... After beating for an example 50 such events you also could unlock a Clown Boss which has for an example has six op delibirds or maybe seels with present and gives very randomn rewards.... but mostly joke rewards. (Maybe also a decorative.... "Masterball". =P)

 

3. Some sort of guild usefullness

 

I am personally not in a guild/clan whatever.... but I think a guild should give members benefits apart from simply beeing in a community that can help + a shiny clan logo... xD

This is such a huge field of which you can take advantage [Did I also mention it has great potential as a money sink..?].... PvP guild tournaments, guild quests, a guild "house", guild shop, etc naturally nothing in there should be op or unfair, but maybe some sweet deals like tms that are from kanto beeing available sooner [For a bit more money naturally.].... but where one would build an entrance to a guild house... i have no idea where but those could be nature based like the entrance beeing in viridian for a guild that specialices in grass pokemons, power plant with electro, etc also like that guilds would have to trade or could collect a fee to allow others entrance to their domain....

I know that the idea is rough and probably annoying to implement... but surely worth a few thoughts [Also could be combined with the two factions suggestion... =P] (The entrance could also be in the unused pokecenter stuff again if nothing is planned there...]

 

4. Fun Chat / Renaming of the all chat

 

Doesn't it happen all the time that we do everything in the all chat? Trading, Asking for help and ratings, etc which is probably not what one wanted the "All-Chat" to be.... which is why I would want to rename it to something like "General"-Chat or something else that doesn't imply that everything should be done there.....

 

Also it often happens, that we use words like "ass", "shit", etc which can lead to a short mute for a short while... I will be honest.... even if its a pg chat... I saw 6 year olds cursing with words I didn't even know so its a bit overtop.... but because of that I would want to make a chat named "16+" - "Fun", etc where people can use such words, as long as it is not used to.... well mob people. If such things where to happen, it should be closed immediatly. But its ridicolous to get a mute for using such words itself as pretty much everyone uses them those days.... (especially if you use them accidently most the time.... xD I blame YouTube + the english games I used to learn english =P)

 

5. Restaurants

 

I am 99% sure I am gonna be shot down on this... xD I blame the all chat discussion we had about this..... and myself for beeing crazzy enough to suggest it... xD

 

No I do not mean restaurants like in Y and X where we spent money and got mushrooms for a good performance... I mean player run restaurants. In the anime for an example people cooked a magikarp (at least I am in one of the few episodes I watched that this is the case...) which we also could do. For an example we could gather krabbys/tentacools, etc for a seafood restaurant, tauros/snorlax, etc for a meat restaurant, oddish etc for a salad bar and naturally of it could be mixed... [Pokemon Y/X also

 

I got this idea, when we were joking about it in the game because i caught so many slowpokes/krabbys/tentacools and some other pokemons.... combining it with my... "wish" for jobs beeing available in the game to make money it could make an interesting idea...

Well now in a restaurant we could make out of pokemons - or their held items - dishes which could for an example give small boost like +5% exp, +10% gold, etc where one can make several a day.... but there would be other jobs around for an example cook, wood cutter (material gathering), craftsman (for houses later), etc and other things.... it would be like a specialisation.... naturally people would have to come to the restaurant to eat to get the boosts, which gives me the question... where to put it -_- argh this is a mess.... well I hope you understand what I want to say.... xD But yeah this could be implemented if its possible to do trough some npcs all around the world... like chefs in a restaurant, wood cutter in some forest, etc

1. Box updates already panned for the future,

2. Seems cool but events like that are sorta hard to plan and design.

3. Guilds are already really good, they connect players quite well ~ but this is a semi good idea.

4. All chat and a "general chat" are practically the same thing but fair enough.

5. I'm sure Chappy will slaughter you for the idea of cooking Magikarps but its not in the handhelds, so I dont see why they would add it.

I could only give my opinion/comment on two of your suggestion.

 

On the first suggestion, I think some players have already suggested about it, most of them suggested search bar for pc box I think.

 

Then on the second one, I'm not sure if you already have noticed that there is a clown roaming around (Not sure if he is reaching johto and hoenn), I have only been seeing this clown at kanto. First time I've seen it at the entrance of Mt. Moon near Pewter City, then entrance of Cerulean Cave, then at Vermilion Dock, then I forgot the other place, and a while ago I've seen it again at the entrance of Cerulean Cave. He explains everything about the place where he is then gives you some items.

I'm not sure if you are talking about something like this though.
