When you want to change the gender of your character then first make sure that all customization selectors are on at least 1(one, the number between the 2 arrows).

 

If every selector has at least 1(one) in the middle then try changing the gender. It's a client bug and was already reported.

 

All the zeros in this image between the arrows should be at least on a 1 (one)

 

 

After you made sure you have at least 1(one) everywhere try changing the gender and it shouldn't freeze. Then you can customize as normal.
