The servers shut down therefore the item disappeared.

After delivering the letter to Steven in Hoenn - Garnite cave the servers got closed down and when the servers were running again the letter was gone but Steven was still there, I tried going back to Rustboro to try and get another letter but the npc told me I had already delivered it and wanted me to do his next request.

And now I won't be able to go into the gym in Dewford Town.

If there is anything I can do to fix this please help.

Also, I'm not sure if I posted this in the correct section.

go speak with steven again, if you've already delivered the letter, he should acknowledge you and vanish again.
