Have you looked at the FAQ to solve your issue?: Yes

On which server issue happened: None

What have you done before the problem was there?

I installed the game, it defaulted to my secondary portrait monitor and has now forced an aspect ratio of 10:16.

What have you already tried to solve the problem?

I've tried using shortcut commands like -w -r 3440x1440x32 and used the in game menu.

Description and Message

Hi,

I've just downloaded revolution and ran into an issue. When starting the game for the first time it defaulted to my secondary monitor, which has a resolution of 1200x1920 (the game selected 1200x1440), now when going into the settings I'm unable to get out of this aspect ratio. I can select 1080x1920, for example; however, 1920x1080 is unavailable and my desired resolution of 3440x1440 is certainly not there.

Thanks,

Chris

Try disabling your secondary monitor and restarting the game; re-enabling it after you've chosen your resolution/aspect ratio and saved those settings. With the secondary monitor disabled it should detect the correct resolutions.

Alternatively (and this is probably a REALLY BAD IDEA) you could try to manually alter the Resolution Height and Width within the windows registry. This is something that you should only do if you can find no other way of fixing your problem, and I cannot guarantee it will work.

Open the windows registry (hold the windows key and hit R, type in "regedit" and hit enter) and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> PROTeam -> Pokemon Revolution

There are several related options here called:

height_h1581003770

Screenmanager Resolution Height_h2627697771

width_h191264035

Screenmanager Resolution Width_h182942802

(the h# part may be different for you)

Double click each of these options, select "decimal" and set the Resolution Height and Width that you want to use. After you have done this change it back to "hexadecimal" and hit OK. When you're done close the registry and open PRO.

This shouldn't break the game, but if it does just delete the options above and it will recreate them when you open PRO again.

They really shouldn't be hiding these options off in the registry...

Disabling my second monitor didn't work, I did do the regedit and it fixed it. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that, thanks!

212492 I'm not sure why I didn't think of that, thanks!

Because normally such settings are in a config file in the game folder rather than hidden away in the registry.

You're welcome.
