So, I had a Nidoran (F) wrapped and died to it. Then I switch in Nidorino to get rid of the toxic spikes in the arena, which is then killed by the wrap damage before he even gets a turn. Swap in Charmeleon, to finish tentacool off, and this guy is ALSO dmged by wrap before it even gets a turn.

 

So the issue is, that wrap persists through pokemon fainting (carrying over to another one) and damaging them as if it were the end of teh turn before they get a turn.
