So I signed up via hotmail before reading that a gmail account would be better and have been getting the error "Your account could not be activated. Please re-check the link or contact the system administrator."

I checked the forum and found it says keep trying it may take a few hours to activate but this is now day two. I have already started playing using this account to sign in so my question is should I stop before I progress anywhere and re-start using a different account as this one may not get activated, or carry on and be patient?

I play with an hotmail account which had not problems at all.

Be sure you did all correctly.

 

Btw, staff advises outlook or gmail accounts, and hotmail is inside the outlook email system, so you are ok, in theory.
