Anyone know if Snorlax can learn headbutt? cant find a definitive answer in-game or around the forums...Bulbapedia says in gen 1-3 yes, 4-6 no...so not really sure about this game

 

If he can't learn it, what would be a good alternative? Mostly looking for kanto story pokemon atm as its my first runthrough of the game in a long time.

Hi, currently the Pokemon in game have learnsets based off Generation 5 and 6 (details here). This means that Snorlax won't be able to learn Headbutt, unfortunately.

 

Popular alternatives you can try include Furret, Nidoking, Linoone, etc, since those are all Pokemon that can learn other HM/utility moves as well. There are also certain Pokemon that will get Headbutt by level up (Snubbull at level 19, for example).

Honestly the only pokemon you need for kanto story is gyarados, just get an adamant one and ur set.
