Okay so I've been playing the game for a while today and towards to this point, I've noticed how much harder it is to catch pokemon. Like I would lower their health to where there's little almost nothing left, even paralyzed them fully but they still manage to escape?

Bug?

I'm honestly angry about how they escaped when they shouldn't have.

Also, I've noticed I put this in the wrong section so this can be moved if need be.

Hey there, Shaidesu. I'm sorry to hear this has been your experience thus far. Catch rate mechanics should indeed be working correctly, however - it seems you may be experiencing a particularly unfortunate bout of bad RNG.

For optimal catching efficiency, I'd recommend using a Pokemon with False Swipe to bring the wild Pokemon down to 1 HP. I'd also recommend putting the wild Pokemon to sleep rather than paralyzing it, since you'll receive a higher catch rate multiplier from the sleep status than from the paralysis status. Paras and Shroomish are built particularly well for catching other Pokemon, as those two species are capable of learning both False Swipe and Spore (a 100% accurate sleep-inducing move).

Hopefully using those tips can help you catch more wild Pokemon in the future. Again, apologies for any inconveniences you may have experienced so far. Best of luck!
