This may only be a bug with the info box for a pokemon, but currently Role Play seems to be replacing the ability of the pokemon who has used it on occasion. It doesn't seem like this happens every time the ability is used.

I'm using a level 53 synchronize Kadabra with Role Play to hunt for pokemon with a hidden ability, and noticed that the Role Play is replacing the ability of Kadabra until the next time it is used, rather than until the end of the battle.

This seems to be reflecting on the ability outside of battle, but it's very hard to say as the ability only has 10 uses and getting a pokemon with the correct synchronized is hit or miss as is. The rate certainly seems below 50% in this case, though.

migrating from one area to another doesn't help, nor does restoring the pokemon in the pokecenter. It does reset to synchronize upon a relog.

If I encounter this bug again, I will post updates and do more testing to see if I can provide more information to help figure out what causes it.

*EDIT*

Continued to use this combo to help confirm that it affects the ability and doesn't just replace the name.

The sample size is only around 20 magikarp, but out of those 20 magikarp none of them had the same nature as the "synchronize" pokemon.

It also seems like this bug only occurs when the ability "Rattled" is copied using Role Play. I have not tested using a different pokemon to cast Role Play to see if that works.

When the ability was overwritten, other players were able to see that my Kadabra's ability was "Rattled".
