Draft mode for pokemon battles

Featured Replies

I know this hasnt been implemented in official games and probably never will however im curious on what people think about a system like this.

an example, of a draft mode can be the following

Player 1 bans poke

Player 2 bans poke

Player 1 bans poke

Player 2 bans poke

Player 2 chooses 1st poke

Player 1 chooses first poke

Player 2 chooses 2nd poke

Player 1 chooses 2nd poke

Player 2 chooses 3rd poke

Player 1 chooses 3rd poke

Player 2 bans a poke

Player 1 bans a poke

Player 2 bans a item

Player 1 bans a item

Player 1 chooses a 4th poke

Player 2 chooses a 4th poke

Player 1 chooses a 5th poke

Player 2 chooses a 5th poke

Player 1 chooses a 6th poke

Player 2 chooses a 6th poke

during this game mode, brackets will still apply so if you are in say the ou tier the pokemon classified as ubers will be banned by default. the purpose of several tiers is to stop some pokemon from being instant bans and allow others to actually have a use

In my opinon i would like this gamemode as it forces players to be adaptive

I'd say no. This isn't a MOBA.

Tournaments held can set restrictions themselves so there's no point. And if you have a personal issue with battling you yourself can set them beforehand.

It's just not needed.
