Dawts
Hey guys! First of all, very glad to see the game growing and becoming more popular every day. However it's not without drawbacks. That said, I havn't played here for all too long, but in these past few weeks, from having basically no queues on Yellow server, to now - as we speak 700-850 people in queue to all servers. Are there any plans to create more servers or possibly increase the maximum number of players on a server at any given time? I did pay for membership just a few days ago, but now I find myself coming home from work, sitting in a queue, making dinner, sitting in a queue and going off to bed. Heycavalier
We had this issue not long ago, thus Yellow server was created. Now there's about 2000 people waiting (on all servers as a total) in queues so this means we would need 2 additional servers so that nobody has to wait. However, these people might be guests. Although the majority of people who start PRO are staying here for the nostalgia and what the vast amount of things the game has to offer, some might find the overall grind a little bit discouraging. Statistics show that there's a constant increase in the playerbase but since it's still summertime and kids don't have school we can only see queues of such big numbers. I'd say to wait like 2 or so weeks (when schools open) and see if slots in the evening are less full. If the "problem" persists i guess we can suggest another server opening to Shane. Check my Mall! Archina
Personally I'd say we'd only need new server 'worlds' as a fresh restart. Though with Yellow being so new and still working things out It'd definitely be a better idea to add more grunt to the existing ones. In my opinion the best idea would be to seriously power up the servers and increase the afk timer a little bit; going back to it's usual quick kicks when the servers are reaching capacity. I'd help fund the stronger servers yet I don't even know how much it costs per month to keep up. He would have to buy new servers (machines) to increase capacity and this would be TOO costly. The only solution is a new server (game server). But as i said it's better to wait for schools to open and then see if the traffic is still high. Check my Mall! Ijiero
The queu's went down to 150-200 in the last few weeks. The clones have increased this to 600. I assume it'll go down yet again when the event is over. Sangresani
I wonder what server requirements does it take to smoothly work with 1800 players. This is coming from someone who owns multiple Linux VPSs and has a server-capable PC. This was why I mentioned why I didn't know the current server costs or their upkeep time as I'm unsure as to what requirements are needed to keep the server healthy. 245997 The queu's went down to 150-200 in the last few weeks. If it's a common occurrence then that means it's time to upgrade as the average player-base has exceeded the maximum the server can handle. Sesshomaru
its not about new servers being too expensive, originally the game was coded for like 350 max players, increasing the cap again probably would lead to lots of crashes again, thats why it wont be increased.
