I paid 15k to go to the Moon in Hoenn for the first time, dropping me to 96k. I was hunting for Gible up there (didn't even proceed with mission yet), and logged off to go eat dinner. When I logged back on, I was still at the Moon and continued to hunt until I had to afk for about 30 mins. I come back, relog and I'm in Lilycove with 96k.

 

TL;DR: I got sent from the Moon to Lilycove in between log-ins and was not refunded money (so it wasn't a rollback).

Hopefully me replying will resurface your topic. Hope you get assistance. Are you sure there isen't a timed time you can be there? Like 20mins for safari? (Never been there)

Hi there. You mentioned AFKing while hunting on the Moon - if you were in battle when you had to go AFK, and got AFK kicked during the battle, that's probably what caused you to be sent back to Lilycove. When you disconnect or relog in the middle of a battle, you'll be automatically be teleported back to your last-visited Pokemon Center. Hope that clears things up a bit.
