At the end of the Kanto E4, (for anyone who doesn't know) you have to face Gary as the Kanto champion. Returning as a main staple of his team from the anime is of course his Blastoise. I remember when I fought Gary, I was worried about if I would be able to beat his Mega Blastoise, until it started using Rapid Spin. It's been a long time since the anime was in Kanto, so I don't recall if his Blastoise knew Rapid Spin in the anime, but to me, it was almost a let down to see it using such a weak move in your final battle of the Kanto E4. Maybe this was because it didn't want to use a water type move on my Gyarados, but I definitely think are better moves it could learn considering we have plenty of pokemon like Rayquaza knowing Energy Ball and Gengar (supposedly) knowing Earthquake.
