In celebration of me beating the Johto Elite 4, I will be doing a 1 MIllion poke dollar giveaway on Saturday October 10, 1:00PM PST. The giveaway will be held over the PRO IRC Channel: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.bitsjoint.net/pro. The giveaway will be in a form of a contest. Whoever wins the contest takes all. Rules and details specific to the contest will not be given out until the start of the contest to prevent giving anyone an unfair advantage. Requirements for giveaway contest: - Must be able to trade (meaning you must have at least 4 badges on an account) - Must have a working browser - Must be able to access the PRO IRC Channel - The contest will be 1 hour long from 1PM PST to 2PM PST - Phil2512 and I will be the official judges for the contest and will be checking to make sure no one cheats. We have final say on anything to do with the contest. - In case of game server outage or forum/website outage, the contest will be delayed until issues are resolved. - Contest details will also be posted on this thread when it starts. FINAL EDIT: After discussions with Mods Phil and Gawerty, it was decided this challenge was too easily compromised by cheaters. It was decided to redo the 1mil giveaway challenge with something that is not as easily cheatable. Both winners for this round will be given membership medallions for their participation. However, I don't see how this giveaway would be any different from the previous giveaways I've done. Trying to teach users how to add a custom channel is a little complex for the simple user. Also, people tend to spam a lot in game and message limits are short before messages disappear. So it's really easy to miss something in the chat. If people start spamming in the IRC channel, mods will use the +m to prevent that. Overall I just think the irc chat channel is easier to use. Also another plus is I can post links needed for the challenge in the IRC but can't do this in game. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
