No matter how it works or worked before. Intentionally using confuse stutus as a way to win including swagger/sweet kiss/confuse ray should be banned.

Reason: Anything like these are banned on Po, Ps or even official battles or tournaments, especially confuse ray is not even in the rule because everyone knows you wont feel good to win by only luck and you wont feel good when you lose because of confuse status.

Secondly, no matter what it was, last season, all pokemons that can use confuse related moves are using them. Gengar using confuse ray on ferrothorn expecting not 1hko by gyro ball/knock off, togekiss with sweet kiss rather than thunderwave, blissey using swaggers even when it gonna be hit hard by physical attackers and legit lanturn, confuse ray. Tbh it is very sick , i mean the environment of pvp last season.

Thirdly, You dont have to use confuse ray on sableye to make it useful. Admit it, you know how to use it like that way without confuse ray.

Only one case is fine is machamp dynamic punch, machomp has no op moves like stabs mach punch or better base stats as conkeldurr, machamp no guard is legit the only way to make it usable.

Because of its sickening stat boosting along with confusing the opponent. Its just way too strong. Properly balancing confuse ray was the correct approach. Banning it altogether just doesn't make sense when this nerf is more than enough to deter using it effectively.

 

Players relied on it heavily in their stall teams to win the game. But now its not as reliable, meaning those strategies will no longer be as effective. Simple as that.

I think they should ban a team with more than one confuse ray poke. I battled someone who had 3 pokes with confuse ray, comon that made me so mad hitting myself each turn I thought maybe I should get 6pokes with confuse ray but that just ugly match.

Make a rule that teams can have only one confuse ray poke.

At least no one gonna use confuse ray, swagger is banned because of foul play, typically because of klefki.

But confuse status related moves are banned in some places, not here, at least on some tournament. official or not offical ones, they are banned.

Anyway, consider this, why, an abandoned move, is now well discussed and some players are even trying to get as many confuse moves as they can. It is about meta, but not only meta.

if you do not want lose due to confuse, just use "own tempo" abilities, why should be baned ??

I wonder why it should be banned. Sure it is annoying when you permanently hurt yourself but that's part of the challenge, same with thunderwave, hypnosis, etc. So it is your job to do the best to find a way to win against them.
