Something weird happened to me.

 

Ok, i have no idea if anyone has found out about this, but i recently beat Erika and was challenged by, as the game put it, "Trainer". He KOed my first poke with his Pikachu, so out of despiration I sent out my Quagsire. It happened to have the ability water absorb. He spammed Surf throughout the entire battle. I kept waiting for him to use iron tail, or something that would damage my Quagsire, but that never happened. He just kept using Surf like it was going out of style and I ended up winning. I wanted to bring this to someones attention in case something could be done about it if it ever happens again.

The NPC's aren't particularly smart when it comes to battling. When facing Lance, in the johto Elite 4. He spammed earthquake on my gengar. No worries, guess you got lucky :Grin:
