So I was playing pvp with this guy called Bioggen.

But suddenly, the battle froze while other things such as chat still worked.

So he messaged me and we both came to a conclusion that this freezing will only end if one of us relogs and loses some pvp points.

And here is a dilemma, who should log out?

I asked people in All Chat and they said Bioggen has to log out because he has 2 pokes while I have 5.

Of course, in normal pvp, this would not mean that I have won, but as the pvp froze, we would have to assume it as my victory

and therefore Bioggen has to log out.

So I contacted one of the staffs, Toothless, and he says that there's no specific rule written about it so he cannot do anything about it,

or it will be an abuse of power.

I understand his point as well.

But frankly speaking, I believe he has to log out because I am at a definitely advantageous point and therefore even if the game was not frozen,

I am more likely to have won the match. Meanwhile, Bioggen just is not doing anything but disabled his message...

Please if anyone is reading this, especially any staff, help me out. I have been doing nothing ingame for 40 minutes now... because the only thing I can do is wait or chat.

Thank you.

Here are some screenshots as proofs. (This is not reporting but I feel like we need a specific clause for this case, and that's why I am having screenshots to clear some stuff out)

And this is just my speculation, but I think pvp games can freeze generally when a poke faints from spikes/stealth rock when it switches in.

That doesn't seem logically to be reported. It's a bug, not caused by the player if Im seeing this correctly. And next time use Report center, to report a player.

Edit: I've been told it CAN be player induced. I'd like to see staff's response on this.

@thejollypear,

Yes I said in my post that this is not reporting at all.

I just posted this because I strongly felt that we need a rule for a special case like this...

So that when things like this happen next time, none of the players has to waste an hour just seeing who logs out first.

Thank you.

I totally agree with you, it just seems this should have under player reports. Or bug reports in my opinion. This should have some light shed on it though. Seems to be a reoccurring issue.

To me i think its not really far to the other guy because even tho he had two Pokemons left he could of had a really good pokemon that could have taken out all of your pokemons its happen to me before

That could surely happen, and there is no arguing that. However, in this context, we need to maintain a holistic perspective. There are many potential variables, but the player with the most pokemon, especially when it is 5 to 2, will dictate the outcome of the match the majority of the time. Come up with a constant that can be used to argue against numbers' advantage, and then we could maybe revise the proposed rule.

That, of course, could happen but in the official games when the timer runs out, the player with more Pokemon alive wins. So it's best if that's the case here as well, and it makes total sense.
