Mikotorisu
Ive got some questions reguarding the fishing rods. Are pokemon caught via fishing able to be caught with all types of rods? If not, how do we know which rod to use to catch a certain pokemon. Does upgrading and getting a newer rod affect encounter rates? Im not sure but I think that if the better the rod, the better the chances of finding a good pokemon instead of magikarp. Also Dratini can be only find with Super rod. Someone should make a guide jajajaja ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Sometimes life is not what you expect... Sort of, You have a chance of getting the rarer Pokémon with the better rods. e.g. the old rod wouldn't find a dratini but a super rod (with an insane amount of luck) would. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjxqJIoy64bxNz899Uk9w3w Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/4868-the-different-fishing-rods/#findComment-39442 Share on other sites

And this info would be an a map by map basis. Its too bad the pokedex doesnt have info on the minimum rod requirement so people dont have to waste their time testing to catch each pokemon with each rod, to see what works and what doesnt Re: Surf & Fishing encounters Postby ProEngineer » Thu Sep 10, 2015 12:19 am All Pokémon can be hooked, but not all Pokémon can be found by surfing. So, an example: Squirtle has no "fishing" icon next to it Magikarp does have "fishing" icon next to it Squirtle is found by surfing and fishing. Magikarp is found by fishing only.
