Is there an affordable pokemon I can trade/buy to beat most of the elite 4?

Featured Replies

My friends and I are stuck at the e4, and we don't want to spend time grinding here. I have about 55k, so I was wondering if there was a high level pokemon I could afford to slay most of it. We could also combine our money for something 100k, but it would prob be hard to share and a waste anyway. If not, are there any extra tips? The only lvl 60+ pokemon I have is my gyarados who is lvl 70. I have some decent pokemon I know will do well if they leveled, but that would take a long time. It's a giant wall for us because we aren't really motivated to play for the elite 4 anymore let alone logging in and watching trade chat. Thanks.

you can sometimes find people selling levels 100 for 40~60k.

Big thanks to Auras for that sig!

Ok, I'll keep searching then. Thanks.

You could try using my strategy. I had 4 level 70 pokes when I did this, but it was my gyarados that ended up doing almost all of the work.

Buy lots of potions and revives, and bring a few Pokemon with intimidate. Fill the rest out with sturdy/your level 60's. Find a good e4 Pokemon to let your gyarados set-up DD's on (if they're using physical attacks is where intimidate is helpful here), heal it when it gets low, and after 6 DD's your gyarados should be able to OHKO everything. Don't forget PP restoring items as well.
