I'm just wondering about the spawn/encounter rates.

Been hunting rare pokemon for almost a week now and I notice something.

 

There are some rares that spawn/appear lesser than others(or it's just my bad luck? But I don't think so)

Been hunting Froakie, Electabuzz, and Bagon for the past 5 days...

Froekie(MS) spawns less than Lotad(rare) 1 safari enter morning ratio 0:1-2

Electabuzz(rare) spawns less(very less) than Dendenne(MS) morning/day/night hunt ratio 0-2:5

Bagon(rare) spawns less that Axex(MS) morning/day hunt ratio 1-2:3

As for me, the spawn rates ranges from here. Wondering if I'm not the only one suffering from this.

i dont agree with that, 1 of my friend found 1st lotad after like 10 frokies, i got more than a box of bagons and like 4-5 axews only, its random

I see, so it's basically depends on luck I guess? I'm thinking it's random too. But i want too hear out others players opinion regarding the spawn/encounter rates. Hehe

I don't know, ever since I learned that certain spots in the same map can have different Pokemon.

 

In Dragon's Den though I've encountered ~5 bagons total, while only 2 axews. On love island I've encountered 3 finneons, 1 lapras but over 15 staryus.

it is based entirely on random chance, spawn rates are determined by the RNG ~

 

for example a shiny is 1/8172 (roughly, idr the exact number but it's along those lines) but even if you went through 8172 of the same pokemon you aren't guaranteed a shiny, but it also works that you can find a shiny after going through 999999999 pokemon, & by chance find another shiny directly after. the same applies to all pokemon & their chance percentage of spawning.
