I think he means the graphic bug that the opponent has no pokes left.

I had that bug before, the buttons "fight, pokemon, items and run have a red color instead of white and there is no timer so you cant wait until the timer is over and someone has to leave as you said. (happened to me like yesterday i think and it happened where 2 pokes died at the same round the opponend had 2 pokes left but i could only saw 1 and I had 1 left)

Yea you're probably right. The graphic bug isn't really an issue if you just keep track of the pokes you see. That tends to happen when a pokemon dies to stealth rock for some reason, not entirely sure why but its repeatable when they have 2 or less pokes alive.
