Hello! So I was just thinking about this, and maybe its completely cuckoo, but here's the idea!

 

EDIT: Slight change on the suggested bonuses, since we're not going to have breeding.

 

I was thinking how amazing it would be if we could choose the faction/kind of trainer we want to be, aka, Pokemon Master/Breeder/Researcher.

 

To flesh the idea out, there could be a quest which allows us to choose one of the three factions, and there would be specific bonuses for each faction. Each could have access to a faction only area as well. The faction would reflect on the trainer card and would be a permanent choice.

 

Pokemon Master: As an aspiring Pokemon Master, your goal is to fight and train alongside your Pokemon, and be the best there is! Bonus: Atk, Sp. Atk stats higher on Poke [All these bonuses would be a separate bonus other than EV training]

 

Pokemon Breeder: Your love and care for Pokemon is unparalleled, and you aim to bring out their innate abilities. Bonus: Def, Sp. Def stats higher

 

Pokemon Researcher: The quest for knowledge drives you! You want to know everything there is to know about Pokemon. Bonus: HP, Speed stats higher

 

The OT stat bonuses would be carried forward after trading, and new bonuses wouldn't apply. This would ensure the bonuses aren't abused.

 

What do you guys think of this? I hope you like the idea and I'm looking forward to any input/suggestion you guys might have! :x89:

Hmm interesting idea, but some people prefer to be all of them, also there is no plans for breeding to be in PRO that I know of. I would rather see titles for extreme achievements, such as Pokemon Collector Buddha (or Buddha the Collector) for collecting 650+ pokemon, orPokemon Master Buddha for winning 5000 PvP battles, or Pokemon Trainer (or Pokemon Breeder) for training 200 pokemon from level 40-100.

I'm actually a lot more inclined to user titles and achievements.

 

for instance The Founder Shane, The Prodigious Pretentious, The Pokemon Master Red....

 

The titles are endless and would be a good side-objective for people who like obtaining achievements.

Hmm, yes! this would add aspects to the game for players that don't or (because of lack of time or skill) want to join the comp battles. love it. :Heart:

See but that's just the thing! This just allows some extra bonuses. Doesn't take away from what you already have or want to be. A breeder can battle still, its just that he has a few special perks. Which allows each faction to have something unique going for them.

Those are entirely different things from what I'm suggesting. The faction titles don't have to be visible. It could be reflected when the poke are linked to chat, or by having a custom clothing option for each. I'm sure there are better ways to go about it. [Maybe we are allowed to link our trainer cards to reflect our profession.]
