Highlighting locations on the map

Featured Replies

One thing I noticed when taking a look at the Pokedex to locate where I could catch several Pokemon is that I have no idea where anything is. I can't be the only one either, as I would assume many people don't have the map memorized. Whenever you look at the Pokedex, you are given amazing information on how to find Pokemon, but you first have to scroll through the map trying to find the locations. Would it be possible for you to allow location highlighting on the map or at least a search box for it?

Pokedex highlighting:

Pro:

- quick way to find a location straight from the entry.

Cons:

- large amount of implementation work on making every Pokemon highlightable on the map.

- can't search for specific locations for other reasons.

Search Box

Pro:

- save players from the frustration of searching for any location - including the unimplemented, but listed ones.

con:

- takes up part of the screen.

- you have to type in the location's name.

It would require some form of animation to get it, but I feel like it would make it much easier to use the map.
