As I am ev training my beldum against woopers, they attack me with mud shot. The text then says "It is completely ineffective", and then says "It is super effective". My Beldum takes damage (as it should). I am pretty certain the text saying "It is completely ineffective" is a bug and shouldn't be there.

 

I also see this is a problem when geodudes attack me with bulldoze.

I would assume that the 'It is completely ineffective' message appears because of Beldum's ability, Clear Body. It's to indicate that the accuracy lowering effect of Mud Slap has failed. Bulldoze would also trigger the same message because it lowers speed.

I've had the same problem in some cases. Although it doesn't seem to affect the outcome severely so could be a small mistake in the code.

If some dev could fix this would be appreciated but I feel like they are pretty busy atm.

That makes sense. Didn't think of that.

Should change the 'It is completely ineffective' to something like 'Acc won't drop because of clear body'. Would make it more clear and less confusing.

Haha ya. Definitely is not an important fix. Just thought I should throw it out there. Would rather have Sinnoh released than have this fixed.

Yahh this bugs been there for quite a long time
