I just got my Eevee evolved into an Umbreon with the ability Synchronize today which I'm pretty sure passes effects such as poison, paralysis, and burn. However, after using Umbreon in a fight against an NPC my Umbreon somehow got poisoned by the opposing Nidorino and died. According to this, I don't think the ability Synchronize is working. Can you please get it fixed so my Umbreon can finally have a proper ability? It's weird to think that a Pokemon wouldn't have an ability...

umm... i might be wrong but i don't think you can poison poison pokemon. afaik it's in the real games like this. i don't know if it is the case in this game.

Hello VisualCrafter, in fact this is not a bug. Synchronize ability is working correctly.

Nidorino is a Poison type, so it can't be poisoned, even with Synchronize.

Well, your Umbreon was poisoned by the ability Poison Point of the Nidorino

synchronize doesn't work if you get poisoned by a poison pokemon

burned by a fire pokemon

paralyzed by an electrical pokemon &

frozen by an ice pokemon

Ok. I think I understand it now. I'm still new to Pokemon so when I looked up the ability, I got real excited. Should've kept reading... At least it makes sense now. Thx!
