It is not possible at the moment to return a released Pokemon.

Implementing an entire system just to cover people misdragging (AND THEN misclicking) seems like a waste of development time/effort.

with how the release area is placed right next to the box, things like this will happen all the time when you're not careful.

 

we can't even drag it away from the boxes, nice design. /sarcasm

On a side note if you review the the previous suggestions you will know that a better storage system is in the works.
