Today i was playing and suddenly a strange feeling pushed me to shoot just ONE GOOD ROD shot and then a shint magicarp appeared that i caught ofc it was great i checked it on PC but suddenly after a bit i get disconected the same moment as a friend that was playing right by side of me.... So the server restarted i guess when i loggeed back in i lost the Carp.... is that suppose to happen? I would realy love to have that Carp back cause i don't think luck will get me one more soon... or at least any way to avoid getting scummed like this?

Its called Rollback. It will return your account's stat/catched pokemon to its previous state minutes/hours ago. Trades are excluded for I presume a server automatically saves an account's state after a trade is done. It is most likely occurs when a server crashes. It is also a very known cancer in this game so get used to it. Also no staffs returns a rollbacked pokemon since the beginning of time.

I'm sorry for your inconvenience, but as you lost your Shiny Magikarp due to a roll back, there is nothing to do.

Some times when the game crashes/stuck, you might lose your a bit of your progress. Keep in mind that game is in BETA and crashes can happen any time. You will not be given anything you lost in a rollback/crash/stuck as it's responsbility. Please take the time to read the following thread Hit by a rollback?. We are so sorry for your case, however, it will not have any action go further for your case.

As said, this kind of inconvenience must happen at anytime, that's why I advise you to force relog when you complete/catch something important.
