Hey guys, i'm actually trying to catch a Sentret with Frisk, but i have one question:

I equipped an item to my pokemon, if i found a Sentret with Frisk, at the start of the battle, it'll say that Sentret saw my item equipped ? or i have to catch a lot of sentret to see what ability they have ?

You need to catch Sentret to see its ability but there is a way to see ability before catching wild Pokemon. To be able to do it, you have to use Role Play move.

Ok, but if i hold an item, the Sentret's ability will not show it at the start then ? it only work when i have hte poke ?

There won't be any information that Sentret sees your item. It only works when you are using Frisk Pokemon.
