Maybe u needed to defeat number 7 or 8 gym leader in case of using rock climb! If u defeated that leader then u will able to do that :Smile:

Hi,

Yes, you need a later badge to be available to use Rock Climb outside of battle, as Anik8Pagla said (I think it's the 7th, but I'm not 100% sure of that).

You can buy Rock Smash right at the beginning, in Oreburgh City House 2, or later on at the Veilstone Dept Store :)

 

 

Also, switching one letter for a star is still technically cursing, be mindful of that. ;p
