This is a mild annoyance rather than an actual bug. The PRO client has a setting, under the "Graphics" tab, called "Game Zoom". This zooms the map in and makes it somewhat more similar to how it would be in the old Pokemon games. I really enjoy playing with this option on for that very reason. However, every time you exit the client (not log out -- exit the whole program), this setting gets re-set to false. It seems to just not get saved, so you have to re-check it every time you restart the game.
