In Wayward Cave, Gible spawn between level 5 to 15. Others Pokemon (Bunnelby, Zubat, Geodude, Onix, Bronzor, Sandshrew) should spawn between level 15 to 19. This means there's no Repel Trick possible for Gible in this area.

 

However, if you wish to hunt Gible with this kind of method, it is possible on Moon area by using a level 24 Pokemon.

Gible - level 24 - Moon - M/D/N - Lunatone/Solrock & Clefairy spawn as well
