I beat the level 100 Heatran and when I returned to catch the level 30 Heatran my game froze up and crashed while loading the battle screen, after rebooting the client and returning to where Heatran was located he was no longer there.

Hello Gouldy, and foremost, I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

 

 

You will have to defeat Nikola, the boss in Unknown Place (Trainers Valley) to make Heatran spawn back;

 

Here are the requirements to Trainers Valley, in case you don't meet them yet:

• Fight with Red at the top of Mt. Silver (whether you win or lose has no influence whatsoever)
  
• Catch 120 Pokémons native from Kanto (pokémons #1 - #151);
  
• Get 38 evolved data;
  
• Be able to take the train (complete the HM02 Fly, Subway & Train Quest Guide)

Take the train from Saffron City or Goldenrod City, as if you wanted to go to the other city, and then select "Trainers Valley" option. There, surf northeast to reach Unknown Place :)
