Awwww heatran. It's an awesome Pokemon.

That's what comes to mind when I hear it's name.

So that's what began my efforts towards catching it. Completed all it's requirements of 150+ sinnoh game time, etc. Took a level 60 Gyarados and started the quest.

When we enter all our rare candies and master balls are hidden or taken away. Probably BUCK gives us those back once we complete the quest, just before catching heatran.

ISSUE: I couldn't defeat the boss. Tried gyarados (luxray one shots it with wild charge), then tried Snorlax (toxicroak k.o. it with cross chop).

So I quit the quest for a while. Didn't get my rare candies back. I remember having around 25-30 rcs.

MY SUGGESTION IS: Take away rcs Everytime player starts the quest by entering the cave and give back the rare candies back once player is transferred back to Pokemon center.

Heatran's quest is made in a way to ensure its difficulty, so all your eventual masterballs and rare candies are indeed removed from you when you access the area.

However, you just have to talk back to Buck inside the Stark Mountain Main Cavern, and you will get your goods back :Grin:
